How to get there:
Car or bike: From the city of Mendoza, take National Route Nº 7, heading Chile, passing by Potrerillos, Uspallata, Polvaredas, Punta de Vacas, Penitentes and Puente del Inca.
Bus: Three buses leave from Mendoza City to Puente del Inca everyday. See time schedule
The access to the park from Vacas Ravine (Quebrada de Vacas in Spanish) is located between Punta de Vacas and Los Penitentes Ski Resort; the access through Horcones Ravine (Quebrada de Horcones, in Spanish) is located 3 km. away from Puente del Inca.
Aconcagua Provincial Park visiting permits:
For a 1 day visit to Horcones Lagoon or 1 day trekking: Authorisation is obtained in the Visitors Centre located in Horcones. Visitors will be asked for their passport.
Short Trekking (3 days), Long Trekking (7 days) and Summit (20 days): the permit is obtained in the Visitors Centre located in the City of Mendoza (1143 San Martin Avenue, 1º floor). Visitors will be asked for their passport, and will be requested to fill in a form and pay in Argentina pesos. In addition, visitors will be asked to sign a document accepting the risk of the expedition they will begin in Aconcagua Provincial Park.
